M.C.A. (Master of Computer Application)

The program is approved by AICTE, and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is a three year full time Degree programme divided into six semesters including the project work.

Programme Objective

The main objective of this programme is to provide the students in depth knowledge about the computer science. It aims to prepare students for careers in software industry such as system analysts, system designer, programmers etc.

Future Scope

According to the headlines in Business Times, in the era of information technology, the scope of master graduate in computer applications is manifold. The hiring in IT industry is going to rise by 60%-70%. If one trained in computer science and has a professional degree, a bright career is waiting for him/her.

Admission Eligibility Criteria

For admission to first year of MCA, a candidate must have passed the bachelor level degree course of three years from any recognized University or its equivalent, securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have passed mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level. For getting admission, a candidate has to qualify entrance exams such as UPSEE, MAT etc. with a good score. These entrance tests contain the objective questions on verbal ability, quantitative ability, reading comprehension and data interpretation etc.
